The COVID-19 pandemic has raged for almost two years now, and it is time to move from coping and surviving to serving and ameliorating the needs of others. All sectors of society have been adversely impacted, but the brunt of the burden has fallen on our healthcare system. In such a time as this we are called to bold action in the service of others who are in need.
The TOYM, together with TOYM awardees and celebrated artists Ryan Cayabyab, Lea Salonga, and Gary V., has produced HEROES, an original song composition and music video, that aims to support our medical front liners who are exhausted and demoralized in the protracted battle that we expect to continue in the next two years. It is intended to galvanize the nation to support, encourage, and show their solidarity with our frontline workers.
As a company dedicated to effecting progress and transformation in our communities and country, we invite you to be a hero to our HEROES by donating to this cause. Song Challenge
The TOYM Foundation has been collaborating with celebrated national artists and past TOYM awardees to support and honor our frontline healthcare workers. This led to the production of a music video National Artist Ryan Cayabyab with the lyricist Jose Javier Reyes, that honors the heroism of our embattled frontliners. The song, entitled HEROES, was performed by multi-awarded artists Lea Salonga and Gary Valenciano and will be publicly launched on November 17, 2021.
This music video has now become part of a bigger fundraising vision in support of the frontliners of the PGH. To help increase awareness of this campaign, the TOYM has
embarked on an online Song Cover Challenge that can hopefully inspire social engagement and move Filipinos to donate and bring messages of unity, hope and love for our
frontliners.

General Mechanics
- The promotion will run from November 20 to December 31, 2021, and is open for all participants ages 15 years old and above, currently residing in, or are citizens of the Philippines.
- To join, participants must create a video and dedicate it to a frontliner they consider their hero. Entries must also comply with the following:
- Use the official hashtag #HeroesUnmaskedChallenge #TOYM #PGH
- Video entries may be a song cover, dance, slideshow, or any animated format, played to the song “Heroes,” sung by Lea Salonga and Gary Valenciano and composed by Ryan Cayabyab
- Participants must indicate the name of the frontliner of their choice and why they chose them, in their caption
- The video should not be more than 3 minutes long and must remain public throughout the promo period
- All entries must be posted on Instagram, Facebook, or Youtube from 12:01 am on November 20 to 11:59 pm of December 31, 2021. Late entries will not be considered.
- Aside from posting materials on Instagram, Facebook or Youtube, participants must also complete the registration form to officially submit their entry. Each participant is required to provide the following details:
- Complete Name
- Email Address
- Home Address
- Contact Number
- Birthday
- Instagram/Facebook/Youtube user ID, – for reference
- Instagram/Facebook/ Youtube shared URL – for reference
- Video Caption – actual caption used in posting the video
- File Upload – Video must not exceed 40MB
- Social Media pages/posts must be set to public mode for the duration of the contest.
- Complete details must be provided in order for the entry to be valid.
- The deadline for submission of entries and accomplishing the registration form is on December 31, 2021. Only entries registered through our link will be considered for this promotion.
- Participants can only submit 1 entry per form.
- By officially registering entries, participants also give consent for their Instagram/ Facebook/Youtube video entries that can be used for marketing purposes for this promo. This includes, but is not limited to, using clips of the videos or screenshots of their entries for marketing.
- Qualifying Round
- Only the top 20 entries with the most number of likes will qualify for the Final Judging.
- Only “likes” on the registered entry’s URL will be considered.
- In case of a tie for 20th place, all entrants in the tie will be included in the Final judging.

- On January 3, 2022, all entries will be downloaded and viewed by a panel of judges, and in the presence of a DTI representative. The announcement of the winners will be the next day on January 4, 2022. The panel will be comprised of the following:

- A UP Manila Chorale member
- A Royal Duty-Free Officer

- Most number of likes gained by the post of their video during the promo period. Only posts on sites submitted in the registration form will be valid.
- The entry with the most number of likes will receive 20 pts, the next highest = 19pts, and so on, and so forth. In case of a tie in the same number of likes, each one in the tie will receive the same number of points.
- Best Quality
- Sound quality – good balance of volume between music and actual singing
- Video Quality – clear and bright video
- Judge’s Choice – specific preference of each judge

- The Top 5 entries garnering the highest scores will receive the following:
- Grand Prize: Php 20,000
- 1st Runner Up: Php 15,000
- 2nd Runner Up: Php 10,000
- 3rd Runner Up: Php 5,000
- A winner’s name can only win once. Should a winner’s name be chosen more than once, the prize with the higher value will be given. Consequently, the succeeding entry with the next highest score will be declared the winner.
- In case of a tie, the prize will be split equally among those included in the tie.
- Once verified by DTI, the winner’s names will be posted on both TOYMs website, FB, and IG pages.
- Winners will also be informed via a telephone call, email, or registered mail informing them of when and where to claim their prizes.
- All prizes are tax-free. Any taxes due will be shouldered by TOYM.
- All decisions made by TOYM with the concurrence of DTI will be deemed final and irrevocable.
- The owners, management, and employees of TOYM, their advertising agencies, spouses, and relatives up to the 2nd degree of consanguinity or affinity, are disqualified from joining this promotion.
Winners must present the following in order to claim their prizes:
- One (1) valid ID with a picture
- Registered mail / Official SMS or Email Notification from TOYM
- Winning minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult who must also present his own identification papers when claiming the prize
- Failure to claim prize/s within 60 days from receipt of notification would mean automatic forfeiture of the prize in favor of TOYM, with the prior approval of DTI.
